Dr. Ricardo Oliveira participated as co-author of the book about the Civil Rights Framework for Internet Use in Brazil, by Atlas Publishing, which addressed the topic, “Promoting adherence to open technology standards that allow communication, accessibility and interoperability between applications and databases as regulation objectives of internet use in Brazil”. The work was coordinated by Dr. George Salomão and Dr. Ronaldo Lemos, two exponents with legal knowledge applied to technology issues and innovations.
According to Dr. Ricardo Oliveira, appropriate or not, the Civil Rights Framework for Internet Use will require the best efforts from Legal professionals so that its interpretation and application satisfies the desires and needs of society as a whole, especially because the use of the Internet has become essential to people’s lives and in conducting business and transactions that the absence of specific rules put the interests of all at risk.
